National Water Resource Institute (NWRI), Kaduna Nigeria in collaboration with Wa-Net at the NWRI, organized a workshop on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) for the newly employed staff into NWRI and the Federal Ministry of Water Resources (FMWR) from 10 - 12 February, 2015.
The opening speech was delivered by the Director of Research; Dr. Dogara Bashir who admonished the participants to pay good attention to the presentations to be made during the workshop. The workshop was a intensive since it covered large areas of water resources management and its impact on human and environmental areas. It took place in the conference hall of NWRI.
The main participants of the workshop were the new employees of NWRI/Federal Ministry of Water Resources. A total of 57 participants attended the workshop.
The main objective of the workshop was to provide the new employees an idealistic knowledge of the Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in order to sensitize and guide them into their various assignments and duties.
